After doing lots of research and watching many tutorials online, I finally decided to have a go at light painting. This was my very first attempt back in 2010 and I still can't believe it actually turned out well!
I did this by putting a paintbrush on my bathroom counter and setting up a little blue-colored nightlight in the background. I had my camera on a tripod with the shutter speed set to 15 seconds. I then turned off all the lights in the room except for the blue light and began "drawing" the lines coming from the brush with a red laser pointer.
Besides a bit of cropping, this photo has not been edited in any way.

Since I did this piece a while ago, I've done a ton more light graffiti stuff - I absolutely love this form of photography.
please XD
I put a paintbrush on a counter and had a little blue-colored light on in the background. Then I set the shutter speed of my camera to 15 sec and had it on a tripod, turned off the lights completely (besides the blue light I placed), clicked the camera to take the pic, and then in the 15 sec i had I started "drawing" the lines coming from the brush with the red laser pointer. This is what came out of that, the photo is completely unedited in any way.
you make it sound simple but I had to read that twice! XDD
I'm so going to have to try this...once I get the right items XD
Thanks for telling me!
You're very welcome
